There's always plenty to do when launching a new site, and because things get hectic there are often the same few things which are easy to forget. One of these is to amend your URL-based goals in Google Analytics - you know, the ones we set up on our Google Analytics Workshop to track registrations and your checkout funnel? Ahem!
All you need to do is to dive in to your Analytics account and replace the old URLs with the new ones. Of course, it's best if this is done on the day of the switchover.
1 top tip to look out for. If you're picking the URL up from a staging or development site, make sure you only use the part of the URL after the .com/ (or .co.uk, .org etc) to ensure your goals still work. And as always, be sure to check back the day after to make sure your goals are working.
