Yesterday, I ran a couple of workshops at Goodform's Sports CRM Summit 2011. It was an interesting mix of attendees, with delegates coming from professional football clubs (including Man United, FC Barcelona and Swindon Town) along with several national governing bodies. Among other things, Goodform develop football CRM strategies.
I think it's fair to say that my pre-workshop research about professional football clubs' use of social media appalled me, but actually now I think about it, it's just in line with their dreadful web presence in general. I can't think of a sector who is so consistently let down by their digital agencies.
